Brisbane November 2013

Brisbane for my Birthday

I love to get away to celebrate special occasions, so Brisbane it was for a long weekend to honour my Birthday last November.

We stayed down town in a nice hotel.

But although concrete and glass are functional and comfortable, old time Queensland buildings are so much more interesting to look at.

Here is the Vinyl Frontier, beam me up Scotty.

But, the city itself is is modern and prosperous.

The River would have been where settlement arrived, but over time they would have forgotten it, but returned to when  the city matured and started to show off in late 20th. Century.

Great walking paths and pedestrian bridges make the best of the River, which is better seen from a distance, rather than close up where it is dirty and rather smelly.
