Diamonds Are Forever

Novel from 1956 and the fourth Bond Novel.

This book is starting to be more modern, or at least not as dated as the earlier novels. We are still flying by Stratocruiser to Idlewild Airport in New York and sailing on the Queen Elizabeth. We still have Negroes, but Bond likes them and agrees it is wrong to call them Niggers.

The novel apart from a a couple of brief visits to Sierra Leone is set mainly in the USA, Los Vegas, New York and Saratoga.



The story this time is about Diamond Smuggling, but is mainly set in USA and is Bond versus Organised Crime. 


Great story, lots of gambling and Bond gets the girl, again, but not the usual exotic locations
