San Diego Trolley Tour |
San Diego city from the South |
Next stop, Balboa Park, site of the 1916 Worlds Fair.
Balboa is a large Park, on a hill overlooking the City.
The Buildings are in a Spanish style, to me more reminiscent of Tuscany.
A total departure from the rest of the city.
Although some areas are more Spanish Mission.
Even Mexican.
From there to Little Italy, not very scenic but a nice place to eat
The Trolley Tour then went to 'Old Town' which is Mexican/ Western area, site of the original San Diego town.
Then on to the Waterfront.
More about this area later.
In the meantime the beautiful Art deco City Hall
City Hall San Diego |
Next Stop Seaport Village, adjacnet to a beautiful marina and what is left of the fishing port
Seaport Village San Diego |
Big Convention Centre down here and then between there and the City the upscale hotels.
Once again on this trip with sundown just after 5 pm lack of daylight came into play.
Final Stop.
Before leaving the Tour in the Gas Light District (see yesterday)
