Seattle:
Day 2 in Seattle.
Settle reminds me of Wellington, Vancouver and Sam Francisco. A harbour-side town built on a hilly terrain. The Temperature was very pleasant. We stayed close to down-town in the Hospital District in an area of moderate high rise buildings from the 1920's onward.
Took a morning tour to the Boeing Factory and using there own blurb:

Visit the largest building in the world by volume (472,000,000 cubic feet).
See where Boeing's wide-body aircraft - the 747, 767, 777 and new 787 Dream-liner - are housed and assembled on the buildings 98.3 acres.
Checkout air-planes in various stages of construction and flight testing.
Watch air-planes being manufactured for airline customers around the world.
Admire innumerable views of Seattle as we drive to and from Seattle
- The guide was a real character, think his name was Ron, most of the people on the tour (their tour not Boeing) were from Australia, New Zealand and Australia not just USA.
- We saw construction of the plane types referred above, the most unusual aspect for me was the Boeing guide who I thought was in her late forties or fifties was actually 72, she was in great shape.
- We went back to town via the park with the Seattle needle and the park where the Seattle World's Fair was held.
- Then on to the Farmers Market, only had a couple of hours, but could have spent the day there.
- Back to the hotel where surprisingly there was interest in the Soccer World Cup, maybe because USA was playing and beating Ghana.
- Then out to the airport (taxi fare capped at $ 40.
- On to a United Airlines flight 371 to San Francisco.
- Then to Days Inn in San Francisco at San Bruno.
Hired an Alamo rental and had my first experience on driving on the right-hand side.
