Whittier to Anchorage Saturday 14 June

Ship Arrived Whittier a tiny port just after midnight.

Disembarked about 8 am, took a rather disappointing tour to Anchorage.

Travelled through an amazingly long one way Rail and Road tunnel almost at the end of the wharf which was several miles long.

Stopped at a wildlife rescue park. Saw the local wildlife, Bear, Moose, Elk, Lynx and Fox. It was set in a swampy farm, while I guess it was supposed to be a happy positive place I felt it was rather sad.

Stopped at a Wetland, yes I know how important wetlands are, but after-all still a swamp and could have had a 5 minute toilet stop.

Then got to Anchorage which is a very spacious city, wide streets, almost a gigantic strip-mall.

Back to Hotel for a rest, down town to a great restaurant and then out to the airport.

The guy from the hotel was great, he was a part Navaho, Elvis look alike, who drove like a maniac, but was very entertaining
